Enthusiasm for Teaching Photography

I am truly passionate about sharing my experience, knowledge, and excitement for photography in a face-to-face setting. My beginner workshops are thoughtfully designed to accommodate all mobility levels.

Workshop Structure and Content

The workshops typically cover two or three locations, focusing on both landscapes and seascapes. Key topics include the Exposure Triangle, composition, long exposure techniques, and sharing the thought process behind each scene. Student input is always welcome, encouraging a collaborative learning environment.

Location and Travel Details

Tuition is offered in the beautiful and varied coastal areas of Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. If preferred, I am happy to travel to a location of your choice. Travel within five miles of Barry is included in the set price; for longer distances, please enquire for a revised rate.

Inclusivity and Support

These workshops are open to all and everyone is welcome. I have successfully run sessions for students with mental health challenges and group workshops for those with learning difficulties.

Individuals with mental health concerns are encouraged to attend and can find further information by reaching out. My own experience learning photography without a tutor—while managing dyslexia—gives me great empathy and understanding for those who learn differently. My career working with disadvantaged individuals, combined with my educational background, has further shaped this inclusive approach.

Those who would like support from a friend, support worker, or family member are welcome to bring them along at no extra charge.

Course Prices

One-Day Course for Beginners (Local)

This course is designed for beginners and spans approximately 7 hours. It includes lunch as part of the package. The special offer price for this one-day course is £130.00.

Half-Day Course

The half-day course lasts for about 3.5 hours. It is available at a special offer price of £75.00.

Two-Day Course

The two-day course follows the same itinerary as the one-day course. On the second day, participants have the opportunity to explore additional photographic genres, such as Portraits or Wildlife. The special offer price for this extended course is £225.00.

Customized Courses

Customized courses can be arranged, allowing for a day focused on specific interests or meeting at a location of your choice. Please note, travel and accommodation charges may apply.

Courses Available Worldwide
